For the last 7 years, Americans have been watching their country go down the tubes in shocked horror. The rest of the world hates us, our monetary value is in sharp decline, and the evidence is overwhelming that the media spoon-feeds us bi-tardison politics with a heavy side order of fearmongering, all lightly sprinkled with the latest celebrity bullshit.
Meanwhile the crooks in Washington continue their slow anal-raping of a once great Eagle. The president is an idiotic puppet, his right hand man is undeniably evil, and this Con-gress is arguably the most inept in our history. But people are waking up. Many realize the atrocities of this administration, and the other day I thought we might actually see some real change. Apparently I was wrong.
You see, recently a Senator named Kucinich did the unimaginable. He stood alone on the hill with naught but a copy of the Declaration of Independence and called for the impeachment of Richard B. Cheney. His address was powerful. He began with a charge from the founding fathers “ …whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it.”
Shortly after he got to the point with.
“Today, I have introduced House Resolution 333, Articles of Impeachment Relating to Vice President Richard B. Cheney. I do so in defense of the rights of the American people to have a government that is honest and peaceful.”
And.
“It became obvious to me that this vice president, who was a driving force for taking the United States into a war against Iraq under false pretenses, is once again rattling the sabers of war against Iran with the same intent to drive America into another war, again based on false pretenses.”
He then sighted a number of direct instances in which the vice president directly lied to the American people in defense of his war, and a number of similar, more recent statements dealing with Iran. I highly recommend reading this.
There it is. The truth has now been told. As opposed to screwing an intern, Cheney has purposely screwed our Country and done his part to kill 3,300 service members, 650,000 Iraqi citizens, and has blown 500 billion in war costs. (Much of which is simply being funneled out of education and healthcare and into his favorite companies. Hmm) What would America’s reaction be to such treason? Well, apparently so many people who were “in the know” called in to a planned public conference call that the equipment was completely overwhelmed.
Unfortunately most people never heard a thing about it. And in another case of politics being politics, both dems and pubs voted to table the bill sending it to a judiciary committee committed to inaction. Why you might ask. Because they’re afraid of bringing public attention to the matter. The Grand Old Party actually wanted to show how many Democrats were in favor of an impeachment; something their base believes would only be supported by uber- left- wing- anti- war-ACLU- hippy- fag- lovers. Basically threatening to turn a bill that should demonize Cheney into a bill demonizing the opposition party.
So, for another day the uninformed continue driving their ignorant cars down ignorance lane, while those of us who understand are left to shake our heads in disgust at the beast which confronts us.

I have to say that there are many of things wrong in washington these days. That, many of us do agree on, but there are many of reasons why the things that Cheney and others have done. While in their positions at such a high level of power, there are opportunities merely are brought on by these positions. A good man will go into politics and come out a demon. But the answer to the equasion is simply FREE ENTERPRISE AND CAPITALISM. Our country is built on those factors, we would not be the ONLY superpower on earth if it were not for that. Be happy with the country you live in. Even if you don’t like your ELECTED officials, you still voted. Not supporting them no matter what sends terrible signs to many of the crazies around the world that would love to do harm to us as a country. EON
