Southsnake’s Week 6 Predictions

What another strange week, especially in College Football. Two weeks ago I said Stanford, who the previous week led Oregon 31 to 21 at the half, is a very good play plus 24 1/2 points against Arizona St. Well the Snake was shaken up, plus I lost a few bucks, when Arizona St. annihilated Stanford 49 to 3 at Stanfords home field!

So last Sat. Stanford was playing U.S.C. # 1 in the country at the time of the game . USC was favored by 40 and 1/2 points add 10 in a teaser and you had 50 plus points. Question? Would you take 50 points and Stanford? Saturday before the game I said to my best friend USC will probably win by 60. Well you all know the outcome Stanford 24 USC 23 At USC ’s home field! Was this the same Stanford team that got trampled at home by Arizona St 39 to 3?

My point is I will pick 3 college games for you. I will study and pick to the best of my ability. But as you can see whats happened in the last few weeks, betting with logic is a sure loss!!! My pro picks have been pretty good. I really liked San Diego as I do again this week. San Diego beat Denver 41 to 3 . Worst Denver beating at home in many years.

Before I give you my picks of the week, I want to atleast mention Baseball for a moment. Cubs, Phils, Angels all down 3 straight. You bet the 1st one you loose, double up the next day, you loose again, triple or quadrupled up because of odds you go for your Ball Down 3 straight. Many lost alot on them.

Add to the mix the Yanks , lost in 4 and you had a very bad week. The poor LandLord is going to hear a very sad story from alot of hurting people. Most of them hard working nice guys who thought (like most of you) everything is on the up and up. I hate to give you the facts of Life, but they’re absolutely not!!!

When we take The Great Plunge here on the Associated Pest coming soon, it will be on the least-likely winner. We will finally go to the bank to deposit instead of visiting the Iron Pig ( ATM ) and taking more money out to pay our losses. My promise is we will take the shot together, do or die, all or nothing. But remember only what we can afford. No Borrowing for The Great Plunge.

Iowa Plus 3 1/2 over Illinois, Virginia Tech minus 13 1/2 over Duke, Virginia 3 over U Conn.

San Diego minus 9 1/2 over Oakland, Chicago minus 5 1/2 over Minnesota, Baltimore minus 9 1/2 over St louis
